The Golf Club Alcanada has recently received new slope- and course-ratings. Our course has been evaluated a little more difficult than previously by the Spanish Golf Federation. The CR-measure is 73.2 for men (77 for women) and the slope now at 138 (139 for women).

Info: The course-rating measure (CR-measure) refers to the average number of strokes used by a “scratch” golfer (handicap at approximately 0) at normal conditions of the golf course and the weather. This figure may differ by several strokes from the par-measure, which for 18 holes is usually between 68 and 72. Tournament courses usually have a course-rating of 71 or 72.

To compare players who have acquired their handicap on a relatively easy course with players who have earned theirs on a relatively difficult course, courses have been given the slope rating. It expresses the difficulty of a golf course for the bogey golfer (handicap from -22,4 to -17,5) in relation to the difficulty for the scratch golfer.

It does not express the amount of strokes needed nor the difficulty of the course but only the relationship to the scratch golfer. This rating can differ from 55 up to 155.

To this end the Golf Club Alcanada offers one of the most beautiful and diverse practice areas in Mallorca. Whether you are putting, chipping, pitching or practicing long drives: On our driving range and its associated chipping and putting greens just above the clubhouse, any beat and swing may be trained and practiced.

The use of the exercise area costs 12 € including two range ball token á 36 balls from TaylorMade. An extra token comes at 4 €. Buying five token at the same time, saves money and gives you an extra 36 balls free. So why not drop in on us for your next round of practice!
